Meet the Owners

Christine

Owner/Vintner/Vineyard Manager) – In 2004, when Chuck and I moved to Squaw Valley, I found an opportunity to use my degree in agriculture.  In 2006 we planted some of the first  Carménere wine grapes in California.  Sierra Peaks Winery opened in 2014 and I was able to utilize some of the chemistry I learned at UC Davis.  I hope you enjoy the wine!

The vineyards are managed organically, per the USDA National Organic Program Standards.

Chuck

Owner / Director of Special Projects) – What a wonderful journey this life is!  The surprise of ” You want to build a what?”, to the wonderful taste of our first Carménere, it is our pleasure to share with you our journey by enjoying our great varietals.  Christine picked the varietals and root stocks to complement our very unique  blend of altitude, southern aspect slopes, and weather.  We hope you enjoy the results and may they complement your own journey. Salute!
